The 3511ES Stereo Kit from DPA features two compact 4011ES cardioid microphones with active side cables, which have been factory-matched within ±1 dB for frequency response and sensitivity in the microphone s entire frequency bandwidth. The kit can be used to capture audio for close-up applications such as acoustic guitars, grand pianos, overheads, percussion, wind instruments, vocals, spot-miking symphonies, and more.
The 4011ES cardioid microphone can handle very high sound levels. The flat on-axis frequency response delivers a faithful reproduction of the original sound, and the off-axis response is also smooth. Both mics in the pair of 4011ES cardioids have a linear frequency response, and this offers several set-up options such as ORTF and XY configurations.
The 3511ES kit includes two 4011ES mics, a CXO4000 compact XY ORTF stereo holder, a UA0897 shockmount, an extension for the CXO4000, two foam windscreens, two suspension mounts, two GM1500 gooseneck mounts, two mic clips, and two magnet bases for mic holders. With these accessories, the kit is more flexible and provides further positioning options such as fixing the two 4011ES mics in one mount. The kit can also be used for close-miking and distant mic placement.
The 4011ES Cardiod Microphone with Active Side Cable from DPA is designed for capturing audio. It can be used with vocals, close miking instruments, amplifier cabinets, and similar sources in live sound reinforcement and recording applications. The microphone features a cardioid condenser element for minimizing off-axis noise in spot-miking applications, allowing for use in close-miking scenarios and to minimize bleed from other instruments. The 4011ES is powered by 48V of phantom power and offers a frequency range of 20 Hz to 20 kHz. It is capable of handling high SPLs without distortion and uses an MMP preamp with a 12mm XLR cable. A foam windscreen and SM4000-C suspension mount are included.

The DPA Microphone Shock Mount UA0897 is designed for use in environments where vibration levels are unusually high. The shock mount features anti-vibration technology that minimizes movement, but does not affect acoustic quality. This unit is ideally suited for stand-mounted use in the studio or hand-held boom applications. This model comes standard with DDS0731 Rubber Mounts for 19mm microphones. It is also fitted with a thread adapter that accepts three of the most popular international standard threads used on microphone stands.
The DPA Microphones EXY4000 Extension for Compact Stereo Holder is intended for use with compact stereo holders (i.e., the DPA CXY4000 and CXO4000) if rubber suspension is needed.
The DUA0041 from DPA is a foam windscreen for d:dicate microphones with an active cable. It can be used to provide protection against wind and pop noises without attenuating the higher frequencies beyond the tolerance field of the microphone s frequency response. In addition, it protects the mic capsule from moisture.
The DPA Microphones SM4000-C Suspension Mount is designed for compact, reference standard microphones with an MMP-C pre-amplifier. This mount allows the microphone to hang from its cable and then be oriented in any direction desired by bending the holder.
Meant to be mounted in a piano frame (or any other magnetic surface), the DPA GM1500 Gooseneck Mount is a combination of magnet mount gooseneck and shock mount. Both omni-directional and directional microphones that are compact as well as larger fit this line. Based on the Rycote Lyre suspension system, almost any microphone can be used simply by adding another Lyre rubber piece. The shock mount is extremely flexible, the holders can be mounted facing both upside and downside and the poles can be adjusted by pushing them back and forth. The DAO4010 microphone cable using Mogami compact cable and an ultra slim DPA XLR housing will give an excellent visual elegance, adding only a few millimeters further length to the microphone.
